How can we reproduce the issue (what version are you using?) Latest version

Expected behavior

Describe your issue in detail: After updating the Mattermost 5.2.2 app, I am now receiving constant alerts for group direct messages. Previously, I did not receive notifications for these messages. While I see an option to mute the channel, this means I would only see messages if I am directly mentioned. Is there a way to add an option to revert to the previous notification settings to avoid these alerts without relying solely on mentions? Thank you for your assistance.

Possible fixes

If you can, link to the line of code that might be responsible for the problem: Please add an option in settings to give users more preferences on the alerts (in Direct Messages Category)
