Provide alternative option to display more than 40 direct messages in sidebar #29223

Summary

With MM 10.0.0, the option to view All direct messages has been intentionally removed (see #28314 , https://mattermost.atlassian.net/browse/MM-60677).

However, the remaining options (10, 15, 20, 40 chats) are far not sufficient.

I assume that only less than a third of my active "direct message" chats is left in the sidebar after the upgrade.

Users should have the option to either a) select more chats to be displayed (e.g., options for 60, 80, 100, 150)
b) individually select the number of chats to be displayed (e.g., via a new text field "Show n direct messages").

Steps to reproduce

Try to see more than 40 direct messages in the left sidebar.

Operating System

Windows

Mattermost Server Version

10.0.0

Expected behavior

Have more options to display more than 40 chats.

Observed behavior

Only 10/15/20/40 chats can be displayed.
