Hi, i'm having the exact same problem. Tried installing on a Win7 premium
64bit, win7 premium 32bit and even win xp. Turned off the firewall as well but
still encountering the same problem.
Anyone have a solution for this?

I have the same exact problem. I will clarify one thing on my end, I am using
a work computer (at home) where I am not the admin. I was able to download
everything properly but when I try to install the Novocom drives the Java
screen stays stuck as in the screen shot provided in this thread. So
frustrating! Please help and thanks!

Same here, Win7 64 bit.
taken that there's so much activity just in few last hours, there's something
wrong with network resources this program uses, and in best case scenario we
should simply try later.

I'm also having the same issue. Windows 7 64 bit, relatively fresh install
(about a week old).

Apparently, HP changed the links to the webos drivers without telling anyone,
according to https://twitter.com/webosinternals...

The twitter is slightly wrong too, you have to replace the front of the URL
with downloads.help.palm.com (doesn't work without the "S" in downloads). At
any rate here are the new direct download links to the Windows 32 & 64 bit
drivers:
http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-win-32.tgz
http://downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/novacom-win-64.tgz

I have tried to run this on mulitple machines and it gets as far as "Installing
Driver" in the Initalizing... and nothing else. I've been trying this since
7/14 which seems to be when this all became unstable and stopped working. Has
anyone had a successful install since 7/14? If so, how did you get around it?
Thanks...

The links inside the prorgam are probably still pointing to where the actual
drivers used to be, not where they are now. Until this program is updated
you'll just have to download the correct driver and install it directly (see my
links above). You just run the executable and it installs.

@shert Thank you for linking linking the new driver location. All working now.

palm.cd.networks is offline. This is where the installer expects to find the
drivers. However the drivers are still available but now at
downloads.help.palm.com/opensource/novacom/<your spec here>.
See comment 11 above for the windows drivers. The mac divers are at
novacom-mac.tgz. After dowloading decompress and run the pkg file (at least for
mac).
see http://opensource.palm.com/packages.html for downloads (with the caveat
that the novacom links are broken)...

I used an open source app called 7-Zip to open the file. Go here to read more:

I have downloaded novacom installer on windows 7 home premium. When i double
clicked on the downloaded .jar file (as mentioned on top of this file), it
opens and shows some files but the download option do not appear. I also tried
on other laptops where I find the download option. Can you please mention what
are the steps to follow....

I have the same issue as the OP. I've tried on Windows XP 32-bit & 64-bit,
Windows 7 Home, Pro, Enterprise, 32 and 64-bit. Nothing. I even downloaded
the msi installer. Nothing. Looks like a hopeless cause for this Novacom.
We're all in the same boat with no solution...
