According to a user report, if the connection switches from mobile to WiFi or vice versa, the app disconnects from IRC (unavoidable) but then:
"After that has happened, I can’t see my messages, but other people can, and I can see their responses."
Probably need to listen for NETWORK_CHANGED and reset the state of the app.
