New channel gets added to UI twice #6

Sometimes when joining a channel from the Channel List, the channel is added to the UI twice, when selecting the "Close" option for the first tab, the operation is successful, the second time the app crashes

Cannot reproduce reliably but is probably caused by a new message being received before the conversation has been added to the UI
