I agree with keeping the repo being there for source, but it’s very handy if there is a link to the final PDF either in the repo or in some external location.

@cranmer https://github.com/cranmer I can, but I was thinking if SciPy would have any sort of web archive of the proceedings that I would just upload the PDF and link to it from here in the README (in the same way that we link to Lukas's poster in the pyhf docs https://diana-hep.org/pyhf/talks.html#posters) and the GitHub page associated link.
I also have the PDF here publicly: https://www.cern.ch/feickert/talks/scipy-2019.pdf https://www.cern.ch/feickert/talks/scipy-2019.pdf and I've added this link to the repo GitHub page so you see it right away (and can update this later to an archived published version). I'm more just viewing this repo as the source for the poster, but if having the PDF in the repo really helps I can do that as well.
I will also make this project open once SciPy starts and get a Zenodo DOI for the poster.

@cranmer Very much agree! I'll make sure that this happens w.r.t. links.
Given Issue #3 though I might already go back on what I said about wanting to keep the repo as source only, as to have a Zenodo DOI be really useful the final poster should also be archived there.
I'll still hold off a day or so to add the PDF to the repo until I get the printed poster. I want to make sure that it comes out okay and I don't need to make any last minute trips to a Kinkos in Austin given printing errors or last minute revisions. :)
