Trying to use this on a steamdeck throws out this error. Works on desktop mode but trying to launch the linux binary from steam or lutris fails

[75:1211/213701.616917:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(157)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /home/deck/Tools/YouTubeonTV-linux-x64/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755. Monitored process exited. Initial process has exited (return code: 133) All processes have quit Exit with return code 133

Have you tried any other electron apps like spotify or vscode?

jurassicjordan commented 1 year ago

i have tried some, such as webcord, and plex HTPC. however they are all in flatpak form. I had a similar problem with plex before installing the flatpak ver. does this project plan to have a flatpak version?

matthewruzzi commented 1 year ago

I do not currently have plans for a flatpak version in the immediate future as I do not have an x86 Linux computer to test it on. (My only computer is now an M1 mac mini.)
