Failed to fetch json data
When trying to watch live tv Running on Ubuntu, same account in the app is working

Yep. Seems to be working great now, just froze a second ago and had to restart kodi as i couldn't stop the channel but this seems to happen in all your addons so I think it is unrelated

Hi Matt, Sorry to bother you as I know you have closed this issue. I am still receiving "Failed to fetch JSON data. Make sure your IP address is allowed (not geo-blocked). Try accessing the content via other means (official app / website) to test if it's a Kodi add-on issue" errors on Android TV and Firestick this morning. I can see recent slyguy, foxtel (10.5) , and inputstream updates. I checked for further updates but there aren't any. In Australia, not using any VPN. I'm able to access Foxtel using the official app on my phone. Here is my log just in case https://paste.kodi.tv/oyihosisir.kodi

It's same issue as kayo. Akamai / streamotion have made some changes. Might not be able to fix. Taking a break from them for a bit. If anyone can fix, I'd be happy to see a PR

Was going to try and have a look what changes have been made in the app but it doesn't seem to have been updated since January

It's akamai blocking I believe. Same issues on kayo. I think they using some new blocking AI or something.

That's not great. Honestly also above my skill level unfortunately or I would try and fix it. Hopefully a workaround can be found, seems strange that it came back last night also unless they were testing something

update your tls ciphers and user agent to be the same as the app or google chrome browser?

Hmm - I'm seeing the same error on a Google TV device. I captured some logging (PII redacted). Is this what was addressed? I don't know how to get the latest plugin updates onto this Google TV, aside from reinstalling the addon from the SlyGuy repo, which I already tried.

The error appears to match the Akamai bot scraping, so I guess I am having the same issue. Not sure how to fix it though :(

I checked my filesystem and do seem to have the changes from this recent commit (https://github.com/matthuisman/slyguy.addons/commit/ee7e39f36fd59efe16ef7c81a44ef7425e33e93e) however that has not fixed the problem yet unfortunately.

Looking through the log I'm also seeing the Access Denied page. Usually I get that page when I try to access the site while my VPN is enabled.

It'll be a bugger if this doesn't work again as it is way easier to use than the official Android App. :(

v0.10.6 works for me, but the programs within the EPG are no longer displaying. The channels work, I just can't see what's on/what's coming up.

Can you see what's on in the add-on itself under live? Can you provide a debug log of running a merge?

Can you see what's on in the add-on itself under live? Can you provide a debug log of running a merge?

No interestingly - just tried viewing live TV through the Foxtel app and got an error message... so can't view live TV through there. (But can still view live Foxtel channels via the IPTV Simple Client.)

Happy to provide a debug log of running a merge, but not sure how to do it. FWIW I'm using a Firestick, Kodi Nexus 20.2.

Hi Matt

I just tried modifying the user-agent in Foxtels constants.py and IPTV Merge and channel changes are working without error on my laptop but continue to error on GoogleTV as I cant make the change there to test.

Changed from: 'user-agent': 'GO2/6.0.0.J/Phone/ANDROID/8.1.0/S22', Change To: 'user-agent': 'GO2/6.5.0.J/Phone/ANDROID/8.1.0/S22',

IPTV-Merge is also connecting to the Foxtel Playlist which was something that wasn't happening before either.

I changed it back to 6.0.0 and IPTV Merge Playlist failed with the internal server error 0 and JSON errors started happening once again when changing channels. Flip back to 6.5.0 and it all works again.

i love using the app, thanks for everything you do. sorry you are frustrated with it.

might have to wait until something can get sorted. I dont think foxtel will care unfortunately.

Hey Matt. Sorry to see you're getting really frustrated. Just to let you know there's a lot of people really love your addons. I'm still loving the Hulu and Paramount addons, which thankfully don't seem plagued by a ton of errors. Thanks again.
