Disney resume points #574

Hi. It's been a few days since I used the Disney add on. When playing a file I found that the progress wasn't marked when stopping playback. I got the Disney files to give a resume point by enabling "use video tags" in the media settings. But when it resumes it starts about 30 or 40 seconds further on in the stream. I know it's not a particularly big issue but those 30 seconds might be important 🙂

"use video tags" Where is that setting? Are you using Trakt or something?

Use video tags is where I said it was🙂 Under 'Media' in Kodi. Just under the bit where you choose it to 'play' or 'resume' a file.

i cant see how that would affect resuming

please switch to default kodi skin if not already for debugging.

Do you have "Sync with Disney+" enabled in the settings? Or is the "local sync"?

I had Disney Sync Playback enabled. Disabling that allowed Kodi to place a resume point. The resume point is not 30 but about 6 seconds ahead of the actual resume point. Not really much of an issue so I'm closing this.

it may be just it takes kodi 6 seconds to start playback. Maybe I just start resume point minus 10s when resuming?

No if stop playback at say 11.25 it resumes playback at 11.31. It's exactly six seconds ahead every time. If you're saying you can make it resume at minus 10 seconds then yes that would be great. Thanks again.

i sure can :) I think video mp4 segments are about 6s long. i wonder if its just picking the closest segment. Ive never noticed it before.

oh... actually... For the Disney+ sync I can change it easy enough as I control that resume time. I dont control kodis internal resume time...

Ill take a look anyway and see if anything can be done

Ok thanks very much. I've made a probably overdue donation for all the help with my issues with Hulu audio etc. When you've made the Disney resume update will you post here or just provide an update via Kodi?
