@tianrunhe i took a crack at fixing up some of the rough edges. let me know what you think! if you have any questions or you'd like to tag team the server side protocol just lemme know

@mattkrick Ready for review for SSETrebuchet. There are some potentially refactor-able methods between SSETrebuchet and SocketTrebuchet but I followed your "3rd time is the charm" advice to not bother it for now. I can definitely do it if you think it's necessary!
