So I have little time these days for my own projects. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I recently setup a new machine and decided it would be easier to use a simple script for initial one-time setup things, a Brewfile, and and asdf. This got me to 95% of where I was with bork, and I realized I just don't want to spend any of that precious side-project time on bork anymore. I feel I would better serve the project and anyone interested in it by being upfront about that and seeking a new home it.
If one of the existing contributors wants to take this on, or a newcomer makes a particularly compelling case, I'm more than happy to help move this repository to a github org, transfer ownership of borksh.com, and advise on where I saw things going. Otherwise on September 3rd I'm going to archive this project.
I started bork a little over five years ago on a lark and out of frustration with an existing configuration tools for setting up a personal machine. I consider the experiment successful on a theoretical level, but it raised issues and greater problems of how to specify the configuration of a unix system that I really don't have any interest in dealing with. It's time for me to move on.
