Chapter names that contain spaces or start with a number slow down chapter listing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a directory/book with a lot of files/chapters with the names
containing spaces or names that start with a number. For example: "Chapter
10" or "10.thml"
2. Click on a book in Books.app to get a list of chapters.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It takes about 20 seconds to show the list of 150 chapters.
If you don't use spaces in the names of the chapters and don't start the
names with numbers it takes about a second to show the list of 150 chapters.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Books 1.3.7. iPhone 1.1.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I used the book of Psalms from the Bible.
I understand that I can name the chapters without spaces and numbers like
"Chapter_10". But it would be much nicer to name them "Chapter 10".

Is there way to get around this?

That is, for lack of a better term, bizarre...  Reproduced successfully in 
1.4-r259.

This is fixed in r424 - the sorting kludge for Baen books caused this.
