I am having a similar issue with iTivo 1.7.6 (I just downloaded this last
night. I see that this posted issue is with
iTivo 1.7.7b3. Is there a new one to download?) I have verified MAK and IP
and after trying to connect to Tivo I
get the message after about a minute "Your Media Access Key not set correctly.
(Select *Help* from the menu if
you don't know how). Then a message on the bottom of the screen "Failed to
connect to Tivo!"

I am getting the same error as above.
But this follows in sequence from
1) starting the app
2) selecting the Tivo under the myTivo's List
3) clicking connect to Tivo
4) After a short delay, being told "Unable to connect to Tivo <device>. No
longer on your network"
5) clicking connect to Tivo again gives "AppleScript Error sh: line 1<MAK>
command not found (127)"

I am using iTivo 1.7.6, OSX 10.5.8

TIVO Series 3 software: 11.3b3-01-2-663

Can you surf to your TiVo's web page? Should be http://<ipaddress>/
