If you don't have time to work on this project would you be prepared to let some other folk make updates and push them to npmjs.org? I think this Node-RED node could be very useful to a lot of the Node-RED users, but it needs to be actively maintained and updated for that to happen.
Rather than just fork the project and push a new version with a different name to npm it would be much cleaner to allow somebody else to take the project on and add the missing features and bug fixes.
