To start the conversation I have assumed the following

With regards to supported digital signatures the following applies

ECDSA p-256 SHA-256 ("ES265") is REQUIRED.
EdDSA Ed25519 SHA-512 is RECOMMENDED.

With regards to supported encryption the following applies

ECDH-ES + Key wrapping via AES is REQUIRED for key agreement.
AESGCM with both 128 and 256 is REQUIRED for content encryption.

Support for nested JWMs is also required.
