2 years ago how have you got it connected, between the unit and HA. i cut the power to the controller contantly (using a smart switch and our built in functionality) and havent experienced this issue.

2 years ago I have this setup: network switch > ethernet cable > RS232 to Ethernet Converter > null modem
gender changer > serial MZC cable > Control Port
I have the 2.2.8 firmware as well.
This and HACS are my only custom components so I'm not as familiar with them. Maybe if there's a way I could script HA to reload the SpeakerCraftMediaPlayer with a button that would solve the issue.

I don't leave my Speakercraft unit on all the time as it seems to generate heat even if no channels are on but if I manually turn it off, I need to reboot Home Assistant to get it to correctly recognize the state when turned back on. Is there a way to "refresh" Home Assistant or the addon without a restart?
