Preferences take a long time to display on first start

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Update Flight Map to 247
2. Select Menu and then Preferences
3. Nothing happens

This is hard to reproduce and only seems to happen the first time preferences 
are loaded.

• Removed labels: Milestone-Dogfood-1.0, Priority-Critical

Just tried on my phone after doing this to get a new instance of the app:
Manage Applications > Flight Map > Force Stop

After that, I launched Flight Map, accepted disclaimer, Menu > Preferences. It 
came up instantly on my Nexus One.
