1.provided the APS url in " and keep getting the above mentioned error.
2.
3.

I am able to connect to the APS using Excel SV and also can see the hello page
on the IE when using the URL.

I am running windows 7 and do not have the EAS client installed (using version

Hi, Sorry for the delay, could you please provide more elements?
- the command line used to run the java class?
- the error message that is displayed?

If Provider Services is installed on the Essbase server with the default port
(http://EssbaseServer:13080/aps/JAPI) then you don't have to specify the
provider services switch -v)

Keep me mailed or theaded, providing detailed information. Lately I tested the
current over 11.1.2.102 with 11.1.1.3 libraries without issues.

Hello,

I just started experimenting w/ this tool. I got it to work partially, but for
large dimensions, it does a partial extract and then comes back w/ this error
message: Error: Cannot connect to Provider Server.
com.essbase.api.base.EssException; local class incompatible: stream classdesc
serialVersionUID = -3889253203225845868, local class serialVersionUID =
-5333423410207619608

Please note that I'm running this on the essbase server.

Thansk!

Hi which essbase version are you using? It seems that the error (erialization)
could be coming from the JAPI jar. Could you try replacing the Essbase
libraries by the one that are provided with your essbase version?
