New audio cue is very loud #53

Hate to sound petty. Love, LOVE the fact that this is even available! Mad props to matzman!! So I really do hate to nitpick. But the new tone for the touchpad emulation toggle button (A) for me is quite loud. Much louder than even the guns in the game! Any way to turn it down/ back off?

Bliglum commented 6 years ago

Anyone?

Spartanoid commented 6 years ago

Hi, yes, could the sound either be removed, changed to a click, or turned down by about 80%. I really appreciate this emulator and the work that's gone into it, as I can now play Fallout 4 VR on my Rift. But the bell sound frightens the life out of me when I hit the A button because it's so loud.

A new version is out with a more silent audio cue. If you still don't like it, the audio file is located in [SteamVR-Installation-Directory]\drivers\00vrinputemulator\resources\sounds. Replace it with an audio file you like, or delete it for no sound at all.

Thanks matzman666 for all your work on this! So awesome that you were able to help we gamers find a way past the petty squabbles of Zenimax and Oculus/Facebook.
