Could you link a video or explain how it works?
Modifying dimension values from viewport is already possible, select a dimension, numpad enter and the new value. Numpad enter is to not interfere navigation view using numpad when a dim is selected.
Dimension on object mode will probably be next step ;)
The arrows left and right from the length or angle are interactive. You click and drag on them to modify them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdXweTrZ6VY. In Mechanical, that would be the 2 black squares instead of the arrows. I tried the numpad enter function, it's good. Could it work just by clicking on the value in the middle? It would also be very fast if it respected the options in N panel like "allow slide". At the moment, only the value in N panel respect it.
Hi, Archipack has a very fast workflow with the possibility to grab measure and angles handles directly in the viewport or click on values in viewport to enter exact values. Having this in Mechanical Blender too would make use of muscle memory and be much faster for the user. Making this to work in object mode too would be even faster.
