Currently, Firefox first asks the user what he wants to do with a download, and secondly where to save, and the save as dialog defaults to $HOME rather than to $HOME/Downloads.
It would save two clicks if it would just save to $HOME/Downloads as is the default in upstream Firefox if I remember correctly.
