Cheapcast not working with Infinitec Pocket TV #18

Not working with Infinitec Pocket TV with latest stable firmware. Android 4.04

Hi I am trying to use this on the above decide but can't get it to stream. The other way round from PTv to my Note II works.

Just shows a big black square where the waiting icon should be spinning but not.

Hi I have taken a log cat on the PTV to help you with the troubleshooting. The log was taken when I started streaming from a Note 2 from YouTube app. The Pocket TV dev/support is also willing to cooperate or assist with the troubleshooting if you need any.

Hi, I had a similar issue, even the 0.3.7-BETA update did not help. I tried the cast from different devices from Youtube to my Pocket TV (PTV1000, running the latest FW: ICS 5.0011 based on Android ICS 4.0.4), but it does not work, there are two different end results.

Details:

The service starts without a problem, even the "pairing" looks successful, I can select PTV on the other device in Youtube (for example) and the welcome screen says on PTV that it is ready to receive content. After selecting the video to stream/"CheapCast" to PTV1000 @ the other device, I can see the title of the video already at the top on the PTV screen, but the video does not start at all:

-it shows the "waiting circle" forever OR -it shows a gray background with a "play sign" at the middle

The PTV Community is waiting for the solution. :)

As Fylim mentioned, a PTV Developer, Derek already has offered his assistance to help CheapCast developer(s) to find the solution for running CheapCast on PTV.

It is great app, congratulation! :) It works on my tablet perfectly.

Unfortunately, the issue is the same here on my PTV1000.

Any chance to have it solved in the next update?

Hi, further information: I have checked the other reported issues, it seems that the symptom was similar on Tronmart T428 desribed in closed issue #5

I can see the title/information of the video as well already at the top on the PTV screen, but the video does not start at all:

a. it shows a gray background with a "play sign" at the middle as can be seen here @ the T428 screenshot: http://www.cnx-software.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/CheapCast_YouTube_Video_T428.jpg

b. Sometimes it shows the "waiting circle" forever with a black background beside showing the video information.

Hopefully all the information is provided for the fix. The T428 issue was corrected very soon. :) Hope it is gonna be the same with PTV fix.

Same problem on notion ink adam tablet!

It used to work fine on my Odroid U2 but now I'm seeing the exact same issue as well on U2 since past few days.
