Allow voice entry of food items and their values #78

What is the enhancement that you had in mind?
I'm a terrible typist on my Android phone. I use the voice entry features
wherever I can. Could you allow voice entry of the food name and the values to
create a record? I've been in WW for 8 weeks now and am not tracking, mostly
because I'm so poor at data entry.

How should it work? Create a microphone icon on the Food Entry screen. When you
touch that icon, display the "speak Now" dialog box and display the results in
the Food item box. Have a button to display previous entries in the database or
to enter or edit the new entry. From there, allow the user to go right to the
Points box and say a value or go to the Food Calculator to speak and enter each
of the values.

Can you provide an illustration of what you think it should look like (if
applicable)? Mostly like above. With use, I would try to enter food items in
the same way each time, like "bread, kroger, whole wheat, 1 slice" so I could
easily reuse existing entries.

PS - Have you considered making serving size a separate data entry point? It
would help make your database more useful when using someone else's data.

Adding voice recognition is not something that I can do.

That's something that the soft-keyboard you use provides.

I can't support the voice entry.

For food list you could use favorites for a list to scroll through and add by
click. I do have some plans for food search, but that will likely require
typing.

Serving size separate from description would be a large undertaking. I'll
consider it but right now I have too many other improvements and bugfixes to
work on that are higher priority. :( sorry.
