[Content] Review and update the Requirements page #21

Open RCheesley opened 1 month ago

RCheesley commented 1 month ago

This issue has a corresponding Jira ticket here: https://mautic.atlassian.net/browse/WR-179. Ping us in #hacktoberfest if you need inviting to Jira. The content is written below.

You will find the wireframes for the new website at https://www.figma.com/design/OIqb9D6IT3mOP2HjqlZ230/Mautic.org-website-wireframe?node-id=71-267&t=wmMT8GYs1z5xCZuH-1 which shows the kinds of blocks (far right) and layouts we have available. There is one specifically for community, so we need to write the content and decide if this layout will work for what we want to see on the page.

This is an important page as it's the 'front door' for people who want to install Mautic and need to know what our requirements are for installing. We could also expand this page to include, for example, the PHP extensions that need to be installed.

If you'd like to make a mockup on Figma / Canva / Whatever to show the web team how you'd like this page to look (e.g. if you want to use images, layouts etc), please do (and share it with us in the issue comments).

Copied below from the Jira issue:

This issue relates to updating the content for Mautic requirements, which you can find at https://www.mautic.org/download/requirements. If there are any comments from the team they will be found below.

The link for writing the updated content can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/13soKuN8_VCYekeHSb9myUQP6Wtqy7RUuO2LdM017ilE/edit?usp=drivesdk.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @RCheesley can i be assigned this task?

RCheesley commented 1 month ago

Hi @Breakthroughbee please tackle one issue at a time, once the other task is completed and accepted you can take on another. We have over 200 contributors so we need to work on one at a time to enable others to join in. Thanks for the enthusiasm though!

Hi @Danbaba1 ,

Thank you for taking on the requirements section. How's everything going?

Danbaba1 commented 3 weeks ago

@Achi-edu Not bad. Could get some information if available

RCheesley commented 2 weeks ago

Hi @Danbaba1 I am not seeing anything in the Google Doc, where are you working on this task? The brief is above - could you clarify what you're struggling with so we can help you get started? Thanks!

Danbaba1 commented 2 weeks ago

@RCheesley I just updated the Google Doc. Sorry, it took so long.

RCheesley commented 2 weeks ago

Thanks @Danbaba1 it looks quite similar to what we have already but the minimum server specs are a nice addition. Would you also be working on a layout for the page based on the available blocks in the Figma design? It'd be great to have an idea of how you would imagine the page to look visually.

Danbaba1 commented 2 weeks ago

@RCheesley We could go over that together if you don't mind so I could pick your thoughts on a few tips you might have.
