@ctrueden do you have an estimate date for the release of the new version ?

Unfortunately, I am not sure. Some time this summer. I tried to release 3.6.0 a while ago, but the Travis CI setup is not 100% correct, and I have not had time to troubleshoot.

The good news is that once I get it fixed, anyone with push access (not just me) will be able to cut releases. We already have a process we use for announcing releases. With just a little more effort, I should be able to be less of a bottleneck on the project. It would also help to have additional co-maintainers, though.

Unfortunately I do not have cycles to help you. I will stay tuned and catchup with the new release. I can test your RC before final release. Cheers
