DJI has removed some servers which the older versions of DJI Assistant 2 relies on. I can't degrade my drone, who can help me?

ragingdroner commented 6 years ago

I may be able to provide you with a copy of DJI Assistant 1.2.0. Pls let me know if you’d like me to send.

@ragingdroner I have the same problem. If I want to change the parameters in dronezbreak it says something like can’t get Firmware Version bla bl (don’t know the exact wording at the moment. I’m on the 700 firmware with my mavic. Do you know a fix for that? Maybe your Assistant 1.2.0 Version works? Would be glad if you could assist me

Have a nice day!

I spent 2 hours on this yesterday. turns out it's on the dji side! dji no longer allows old versions of the app the pull the firmware versions.. gonna experiment today to see if I can come up with something.. you CAN still manually adjust the parameters using the old app though..

@gershee But it has never worked with the newest DJI Assistant version! You had to use an older version so that dronezbreak recognises the drone. Are you sure we are talking about the same thing?:P

gershee commented 6 years ago

correct but you said you wanted to update your firmware. I am unable to use dronezbreak currently because it relies on a pulling firmware version from the assistant app (with debug enabled). as of a few days ago DJI has made the older versions of assistant not able to pull firmware versions.. if you want to manually edit parameters you can. if you want to read your current firmware or upgrade you can do so via the new app.. I am currently unable to get dronezbreak to work.. if you want to downgrade try dumldore (win32).. I will play more after work.. does this make sense or am I misunderstanding?

I didn’t say I would want to downgrade my firmware... But thank you. I just want to edit my parameters but I have always done that via dronezbreak. I don’t know how else To edit them on Mac:)

gershee commented 6 years ago

I'm at work and can't help right now. Google it or I can help you later. basically you show package contents. edit a certain jar file. uncomment one line. then in the app change debug from 0 to 1 and then you can edit all the parameters manually

Thanks again for your response! I would be very glad if you could briefly describe the steps to do it manually when you got time.

check the video.. since you are on os x right click on assistant and goto show package contents and navigate to the jar file mentioned in the vid. uncomment. load assistant. change the debug flag to 1 from 0 voila.
