Always send ringtone to speakers #251

You can currently set the ringtone output to the "Built-in Output" but it would
be nice to always use
the external speakers even if there are headphones plugged in. Currently
Built-in Output would
send the ring-tone to the headphones.

I don’t think it is possible in Mac OS X.

Yeah I was afraid that may be the case. It would definitely be handy though as
it would let you hear the phone
ring even if you're away from your desk.

I’ll try to dig deeper and to find out whether it is possible or not.

This is currently possible using the freeware app SoundSource from
http://rogueamoeba.com/freebies/
It adds a icon to the menu and there you can change the output to use the
internal speakers. You might have to
up the volume after changing the output device.
