Could you describe what's you're doing in greater detail? You call some
conference number, and the sound
disappears after sending DTMF?

Could you please send me the log file?
1. Quit Telephone, open Terminal, and run
defaults write com.tlphn.Telephone LogLevel -integer 4
2. Launch Telephone, reproduce the problem, quit Telephone.
3. Attach ~/Library/Logs/Telephone.log here or send it to me directly
(eofster@gmail.com).

Just delete it to use the default level:
defaults delete com.tlphn.Telephone LogLevel
So, it works now?
