Keypad #35

Although there is a feature of sending DTMF by pressing digits on the keyboard,
there should be
some UI element for that.

Would this be associated with the a request for a dialpad? Or should I open a
new
request?

This issue will be for the keypad which can be used to dial a number and to
send DTMF.

I hope a keypad will be optional. I like Telephone so much because it doesn't
have a keypad cluttering my screen
like all the other clients.

Yes, keypad will definitely be optional.

Today I tried to call some company using Telephone but I wasn't able to get past
their automated menu system because I was unable to send the number of choice.
I was able to type in the "Call" screen but that didn't send anything to the
other side.

I hope this can be resolved!!

I've been able to type the keys for numbers, * (star) and # (pound), but for
some reason after the last update, the
voicemail system I call into for my cell messages, doesn't 'hear' the *. I
have to to use the sipgate keypad for
that now ( which doesn't seem to work with PowerPC ).
I too love the way Telephone stays out of the way. It's a slick app! Thanks
so much.

micblaha, so, it doesn’t hear only ‘*’? Other digits and ‘#’ are okay?

I don't need a keypad, but it would be cool to be able to have the DTMF
automatically translated as I type on the
Mac keyboard.

I would very much like to see a dialpad incorporated (as an optional feature)
into telephone, which has only recently replaced my Gizmo5 application. I hope
the dialpad would be attractive, and not as unnecessarily cluttered as the
Gizmo5 one.

I've already submitted the new version to the App Store that should fix DTMF
problems with some SIP providers (including Google Voice). But there's always a
chance that your provider requires DTMF sending method that Telephone doesn't
support (so called in-band DTMF).
