There is the same installation bug as the other maxmind npm packege: https://github.com/runk/node-maxmind/issues/826

Is this resolvable with the latest max mind updates?

That script is not part of this project. It looks like the repo it is part of is https://github.com/runk/node-geolite2.

While there isn't enough information to go on here to be sure, it's possible you are encountering a download limit and it is erroring as a result. See here for some info on that.
