Debian repository? #99

Hello,

Since you already provide the ubuntu ppa:maxmind/ppa, would it be possible to provide the deb packages or even better, maintain a debian apt repository too?

I'd also vote for an official RPM as well. I'm about to have to go build one just because modern versions don't exist.

We will be releasing geoipupdate2 soon. I would suggest you package that rather than this if you are going through the effort of packaging.

bump. With the latest release actually debian stretch is broken, before it was running with bionic repo, now it doesn't, as a paying customer, I feel very disappointed by the support.


The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 geoipupdate : Depends: libcurl4 (>= 7.16.2) but it is not installable

Are you saying that the version of geoipupdate in Debian Stretch doesn't work or are you trying to install the version from our PPA? I assume the latter as the version in Stretch does not depend on libcurl4. I would recommend using the package distributed by Debian. It will work with all of our databases.
