unable to run Python interpreter #9

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Regardless of how I try to do it I can't get the Python interpreter to run
under a puttycyg terminal. If I run it from cmd or from bash nothing is
shown and the terminal has to be closed. Running python scripts still works.

I'm using puttycyg 20071202 under Windows XP SP2 and running Python 2.5.1.

Are you using the cygwin version of python or another windows version?

From my experience non-cygwin versions don't like puttycyg. My guess is that
python
was probably not compiled with xterm support for non-cygwin versions.

Try to install the cygwin version of python. That works for me.
