Hi,

I now use Berryboot every time, and it suits me very well, but it could be improved a little bit.

First of all, It asks me for my keyboard layout, but then, when something goes wrong, and I am thrown back to Berryboots own console, Berryboot itself does not remember my keyboard layout, and everything I type looks like Chinese. very annoying, to say the least.

Also, when I add my OS(es) to an external disk, and I add an extra USB to the Pi, then suddenly Berryboot does not find the OS(es) anymore at bootup. Probably because it searches for /dev/sda. It should instead search for a disk with a (unique) LABEL, like "BerryBoot$(date +%Y%m%d)" or something likewise.

And last, but not least. Installing an Operating System takes time, and it would be nice if there was a possibility to spend it playing a little game like Aisleriot Freecell, or Minesweeper, Tetris, and the like :-)

Thanks.

Best regards, Rik.

Hello, make sure your hard disk and your flash drive you connect are both Fat32 formatted, probably you confuse berryboot with two external devices connected at once please use only one,the keyboard layout its only needed for berryboot setup and nothing else leave as it is,dont change it,is english by default. Installing an os depends on how fast is your memory card/usb disk, make sure you have a class 10/uhs1 card in your pi.its better to transfer/install the OS you want from usb flash drive, hard disks my work slower due to higher power draw.about the game i think it will slow down the process.

Hmm, I don't think so. When I had my Rapbian Jessy OS installed on an external USB, everything worked fine and I could write my data to a second USB. Until I shut down, and went to sleep. The next day, It could not find my OS, for it was looking on /dev/sda. But /dev/sda was assigned to the new USB. Unplugging the second USB did the job. (I 'm using berryboot-20170527-pi0-pi1-pi2-pi3.zip)

Then I seriously messed around in my /etc/fstab file, and the whole OS would not boot again. I knew what mistake I had made, so it was just a matter of removing one line. Since I am from Belgium, I have an other keyboard layout. The A is on the place of the Q, The m is on the place of the , The @ is nowhere to be found, all the signs like <>\=~µ£ù'"# are swapped somehow. Combine that with the fact that I could only find the nerd editor "vi" .

Which brings me to to another future request. An editor for noobs :-) Nano will do, for the editing is intuitive, and you don't have to remember all the shortcuts. They are written down at the bottom of the screen.

You're right about the games slowing down the process, unfortunately. :-(

Thanks for a wonderful product nonetheless.:-) Best regards, Rik.
