3D driver issue #699

Hello

i Have latest berryboot in a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and i have a Raspbian desktop os with a game installed that needs the opengl driver enabled otherwise it performs really slow so i enabled the dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d from the config.txt but after i reset the berryboot menu is not shown and it boots directly to the first os that i have in the berryboot menu the game thought performs well but i cannot choose any other os to boot from the menu since its not shown is this a known bug of the menu for the Rpi 2/3 if the dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d option is enabled? if i disable the 3d driver from config.txt from my computer, the berryboot menu is back how can i fix this so and the driver is enabled and the menu is working/shown? Thanks

thanks

We only support fkms on the Berryboot build for Pi 4. (which should work on Pi 3 as well).

symbios24 commented 3 years ago

It does the same with the fkms, the berryboot menu is gone like its not there any help?

maxnet commented 3 years ago

That build has fkms enabled by default, so really should work...

If it was a multi-monitor support it do could be the problem that Berryboot is only shown on one of the monitors. But since you mention Pi 3 I assume that is not the case...

symbios24 commented 3 years ago

Its not a multi monitor. Just a single one,im using the berryboot for rpi0123 should i use the other one for rpi4 on rpi3?

maxnet commented 3 years ago

should i use the other one for rpi4 on rpi3

Yes. Provided you only want to use fkms. (The various Kodi distributions that do not use fkms may no longer run with that build)
