transfer to another SD - and keep image + data separated ? #728

How to transfer image + data from one SD to another ? (the "another SD" already has other berryboot images running). I know there is this backup/restore-feature - but this merges image + data. So afterwards i can't clear data (reset OS) anymore. I want to keep image + data separated! Can't i just copy the files with a linux pc ? I tried, but get permission errors for example at .../data/root, ... or the ".work"-folders.

There is an option to save the modified image in an img file

i know. But this creates one single .img-file - when i restore this i can't do "reset OS" anymore. I want to transfer .img + data 1:1 (separated) to the other SD card.

Or just duplicate the same image and have it one with the data and one without
