You have an awesome project! I very much like your idea of having Gate proxy managing actual Minecraft Servers.

We just started minekube/awesome and would like to invite you to add your project to the list. The list allows example projects and it does not matter if it's complete or under active development.

I like your idea so much, I would like to offer you to move this implementation forward together with me within the Minekube ecosystem in a new official Minekube GitHub project and you + me being the maintainers.

I few implementation ideas I have in mind already...

Provide an Adapter interface in the config that implements different hosting platforms

• e.g. one for creating servers on Kubernetes (pretty advanced)
• another adapter for creating servers on local filesystem (normal users)
• maybe another adapter that spins up a VM for a single Minecraft servers via public cloud API like hetzner (highest wow factor)

Long Term Vision

• Make a paid Minecraft server hosting that players can use to create and manage Minecraft servers FROM IN-GAME (players join our central server, then switch in-game to their owned server or proxy)
• This would also well work together with Connect, to allow online mode and non-bungee enabled servers as well. Gate is already integrated with Connect as well. (Connect is not a requirement for the MVP though)
