There are some around (most notably, http://kartoch.msi.unilim.fr/blog/?p=19). Consider the possibility to include them in order, e.g., to attach a host-side sniffer (e.g., wireshark) directly to a collision domain.

Great to hear that the feature is available in an independent release. However, I think the suggestion for enhancement cannot be considered as applied as long as the relevant pieces of code are not imported in this repository, which has not happened yet. Therefore, it probably seems more appropriate to keep the issue open for now.
