Describe the bug
I'm not clear on if this is a bug or intentional ( Wonderdraft is also a GPU hog, but they have a specific reason related to coastline generation ), but booting this app brings my GPU to 100% allocation. Notably, I'm using an AMD GPU. I understand you've only tested with NVIDIA.
