Interest in making a library? #2

Not sure if you have any interest in making it a generic library? I'd be happy to help make + maintain one. Was thinking of doing my own but then found your awesome post.

I am finally back :) Thanks first of all for your suggestion!

What would you like to focus the library on? A Firebase Auth library for Rocket or a generic JSON web key auth library for Rocket? Or a Firebase Auth library for Rust?

Maybe we could also split it into two: One library performing the JWK integration for Rocket, the other one using that library and adding Firebase-specific configuration and then possibly others for different auth providers (e.g. AWS Cognito, Auth0...).

What are your thoughts on this?

If I'm being selfish, I'm looking for a generic library that does firebase auth (not tied to Rocket, per se).

I would definitely recommend splitting it into two because I know that it'd be super useful for other web frameworks as well.

Okay. Yeah that would also be an option. If we only focus on firebase auth the library would probably be more focused and we could add admin functionality later on.

What do you think about an online meeting tomorrow evening? Then we could discuss some details / the API.
