I've been using supernote for a while now. I was excited about it and thought it was far better than reMarkable but it's not quite so. Anyway, it has a few good things.
Would it be possible to have the wifi turned off and then have a button where it does a sync and the wifi turns itself off? For example after some time or after syncing content?
I have wifi on all the time but people say it has an extreme effect on the battery and it's probably true, I've had the supernote at work for a month and it still hasn't run down.
So that's sort of the opposite, i.e.,
What I'm suggesting: Wifi on / Sync off
What you're saying (I think): Wifi off / but switch it on for a sync then automatically switch it off
Yes, you understand correctly. Does it matter what exactly is eating the battery???
If it's just syncing, then your suggestion is great. But if general wifi, the supernote has it sorted like that and actually lasts about a month charged.
Ah, well, my concern isn't about what is eating the battery.
I just want to add, change, and delete stuff on the tablet while wifi is on without any of those changes being synced.
For example, I might upload a big PDF that I just want to read and then delete and I don't want that to sync.
In particular, I don't want to have to WAIT for the darn thing to sync before I can even open it (I have very slow upload wifi).
OK, so that's a completely different function it seems. I'll start a new problem of my own.
Until this feature is added to the hacks, you can connect to RCU via USB with the wifi off. Just enter 10.11.99.1 for the host name. Also, make sure to toggle "USB web interface" on in the tablet (Settings -> Storage).

Yes indeed. So it's not like I don't have work-around's. But
BTW, FWIW, you don't have to toggle "USB web interface" to connect RCU via USB.
I realize this is probably a long shot. Would it be possible to have a toggle to disable syncing with Connect?
My aim is to have Wifi enabled, e.g., for connecting to RCU, but to not have everything I do synced with Connect right away.
So I'd like to toggle off syncing while I'm on Wifi, and then toggle it back on when I'm ready to sync.
