Was able to access flask-based server today by port-forwarding public http requests on port 5000 to my pc's private ip.

To use, flask run --host=0.0.0.0 --port=5000

!!!WARNING - anyone can find this api with an ip/port scan. An ip address whitelist should be created or firewall settings modified info here or here
