VARS 758: Haddock, Steven and Severine Martini have requested that biolumunsent genera are tagged in the VARS KB/DSG. The current proposal is to tag bioluminescent genera with a LinkRealization of is-bioluminescent | self | where qualifier is one of:
bioluminescent: bioluminescent has been observed
non-bioluminescent: we looked and determined these animals are not bioluminescent.
uncertain: We looked but we have not been able determine if the animal is or is not bioluminescent.
undefined: We haven’t looked at it yet. (I don’t think we need this as this should be the default case).
