Selecting an annotation w/ broken image link hangs UI #71

We discovered this while working with framegrabs made on the R/V Rachel Carson that hadn't been synced to shore yet. Clicking on show concurrent annotations loaded the real time annotations made on the ship. Selecting an annotation with an image with a broken link created the spinning pin wheel of death. (on macOS)
