I am interested in doing 16S data processing and microbiome analysis because I think that microbiome communities have the key to advances in future genetics. So far, microbial communities have helped us understand mechanisms of DNA replication, transcription, translation and phylogeny. Analysis of different microbiome communities from the extensive data generated through different studies could help shed more light on mechanisms of evolution, gene control and regulation as well as biological machineries at work. Besides, this analysis presents opportunities to put into practice the Bioinformatics skills learnt so far.
