Syncing whitelist sites seems erratic #223

I have multiple installs of Chrome and add whitelist sites to all of them as 
I'm going along. All are set to sync in the options.

Sometimes it appears that the sites I add to whitelist on one PC will make it 
over to another one, but more often that does not happen unless I manually 
choose to upload from one PC, at which point they seem to be downloaded 
automatically when I open the browser on another machine.

I have checked in the Chrome://sync-internals and Chrome says it is syncing all 
of the settings properly (and bookmarks always sync properly between my 
installs)

It would be useful to know how the syncing is supposed to work so I can get a 
better idea of what might be going on please?

As I haven't had a reply I thought I would do more testing myself, using two 
installs of Chrome on two different machines. 

What I can see is that, for me anyway, there is no automatic syncing of 
settings TO my Google Sync account. I can make as many additions to the 
whitelist as I like on one machine, but they will not be synced to Google (and 
therefore make it to the other machine) unless I go into the ScriptSafe 
settings and press the button to Sync. If I do manually sync though, the 
settings are automatically downloaded on the other machine - I don't have to 
manually download them. 

This is the same on both machines - both do not upload automatically, but both 
do download automatically.

The obvious question to ask then is - why does automatic syncing TO the Google 
account not work at the moment?

I have been having the same issue and find it quite puzzling. Any answer to 
above question by Mark?

Andrew hasn't posted on this site since the last update was released on the 2nd 
July. I'm hoping that doesn't mean that he has abandoned the extension, but 
it's hard not to think that might be the case.
