Here's an update to the swift-2.3 variant, i'd recommend maintaining a compatibility branch for some time until most developers have upgraded to swift-3. If possible we should release 2.3.1 as swift-2.3 compatible, and 3.0.0 as swift-3 compatible. Then cocoapods or carthage users can target releases.
