file settings.php cannot be read

The interface does not display any parameters that are not built in the file

ls -l settings/
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 http http 1004 Feb 27 10:22 setting.php.orig
-rw-r--r-- 1 http http  995 Feb 27 12:08 settings.php

What have I done wrong?
