[x] create issue branch to pull together all scripts from ongoing work in auto-annotations and back-population branches
[x] merge scripts into issue branch
[x] remove any extra/unneeded scripts from repo

Branch 32-tidy-deployment combines all scripts that have been worked on over the last few months.

@aditigopalan when you are ready, please take a look and add any missing scripts that you use for curation/data ingress
