3 years ago after a bit of testing i realised this happens when a large magma cube subdevides into smaller ones, the smaller magma cubes don't count as spawner mobs.

Around 5 builds ago is when the issue first started. Magmacubes from spawners give players unarmed levels. I haven't touched or toggled anything regarding it, as its essentially the default files.
