Save/Load deletes chaser sequence step timings #160

Using QLC+ 4.4.0 in Win7 Home Premium x64 tried to create a lightning effect using multiple steps with fade in out and hold timings but Save/Load deletes chaser sequence step timings . Recreated failure in multiple new projects. I tried a variety of sequences, steps and duration timings, Each time when I saved and loaded a project and I had one or more sequences with various steps: one set of step timings from each sequence would disappear until all were gone. The exception was this last time when I made an new sequence to clip images: step 2.of sequence kept timings (don't know why). I tried removing QLC, clearing the registry and re installing and running both as administrator and client user... Same Results.

Pic 1 - no save or reload pic 01 no save-load

Pic 2 Saved & reloaded project --->step 3 timings gone pic 02 save-load 01 - step 3 timings gone

Pic 3 Saved & reloaded project 2nd time --->step 4 timings gone pic 03 save-load 02 - step 4 timings gone

Pic 4 Saved & reloaded project 3rd time --->step 5 timings gone pic 04 save-load 03 - step 5 timings gone

Pic 5 Saved & reloaded project 4th-7th time --->step 2 timings remained on this occasion (don't know why) pic 05 save-load 04-07 - step 2 timings still there

Is There a special way of saving step timings so they don't get deleted? Please Help... Thank You Am I the only one seeing this Issue?

This looks like an issue that was present before version 4.4.0 and solved here cd74bb5793c20a9915e27df8a8d658ebd5df567b If you're using 4.4.0 beta1 please upgrade.

I just tested a sequence with your same steps and it works perfectly.

I thought I had the non beta version but I will try downloading again from sourceforge. I 'll let you know as I just did a clean Install of WIN7 Home Premium X64. Thanks

Same Problem occurred...Didnt really mean to close issue.... I just downloaded and installed QLC+ 4.4.0 from SourceForge and setup Inputs/Outputs on OSC network 1 using TouchOSC as control, Added fixtures and created show wiith one audio track and one strobe track. Added ADJ Mega Flash fixture to show and created strobe step sequence as before with step times and diferent strobe levels for each step. Created virtual console solo button and linked to show and TouchOSC. Switched to "Operate Mode" and "Simple Desk" tab to view fixture sliders. Started show with TouchOSC and everything played as expected (timings and slider movement) as many times as I wanted. Stopped show and operate mode then saved and closed. Opened QLC+ and opened show: first set of non-zero step timings as well as slider levels were set to zero. With each sub-sequential "Save, Close and Open" the timings and slider levels of each sequential step all disappeared until all were set to zero. This also happens by just save followed by opening the same project without closing QLC+.

I also uninstalled QLC+ from SourceForge and installed a copy from Softpedia and the same results occurred.

-Is there somewhere else to get a verified copy of QLC+ 4.4.0? -Do I have to install as administrator or to a specific location or does the project workspace have to be saved to a specific location {both currently "C:\QLC+") ?

Your help is appreciated Thank you

I recompiled the sources on Windows, added 2 ADJ Mega Flash, created a show with one audio track and a sequence, set some values, created 6 steps with your same timings. Everything works.

Can you please share your project the first time you save it ? Do you do any copy/paste when creating the steps ?

The official version of QLC+ is on Sourceforge.

OK I'll get a copy again from Sourceforge and get you that saved file and no I didn't copy and paste.

Where can I send or share project files to you? I have Pic before saving and .qxw file after first save not opened again. Do you need the audio file as well? It's a 24MB wave file Never-mind Just saw your email

You cannot reply to Github automatic emails (have you noticed the noreply.github.com address ?) My personal email address is in the QLC+ website -> about page. Please just send me the project file. Then I'll replace your wave with another audio file.

Thanks.

Hi, I received your project and reproduced the issue. It was not easy to find where the problem was, but I solved it: 4ee01fa91098d2e5b2e6eb4b8610ea64828f5f01

In a few days I will release version 4.4.1.

Thanks for spotting this out !
